SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster men's and women's basketball is hosting the Griffin Nest Hoops Fest on Thursday, October 22, in the Behnken Field House. The event is the first chance to see the teams in action for the upcoming 2009-10 basketball season. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. to allow students to join The Nest and pick-up their new t-shirts and get some free food.

The night will feature player introductions, a shooting contest, slam dunk contest, a scrimmage by each team, and concludes with a game of Knockout with the students and players. The shooting contest will feature four teams that consist of a men's player, a women's player, and a student. There will be prizes all night and also your first chance to get your picture taken with Griff.
