Golfers Place Fifth at Westminster Tournament

SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster golf teams each placed fifth-place at the Frontier Conference event that they hosted the last two days. The men finished with a score of 993 while the women came in at 1,402. The event was held at Wingpointe Golf Course and hosted by the Griffins. It was the fifth of six conference events used to determine a conference champion.

Rocky Mountain College won the men's event with a score of 877. Connor Rakowski of Rocky was the men's individual winner with his 4-under par score of 212. The women's team event was won by Lewis-Clark State and their score of 969. Courtney Shrout from L-C won the women's individual title with a score of 235.

Bryce Till led the Westminster team with a total score of 233. He shot 1-over par 73 in the final round, one shot behind his career-best. Matthew Stern shot 240 while teammates Christopher Ames, 251, and Max Babson, 269, also competed for the Griffins.

Annie Haperstock paced the Griffin women with her 340 score. Jesika Hilton finished with a 349 followed by Shonti Breisch and her 350. Breisch shot a 108 in the opening round for the low by a Griffin in the event. Jessica Roestenburg, 363, and Tawnee Espinoza, 393, completed the field for Westminster.
