STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – It was another solid outing for the Westminster alpine ski team at the USCSA West Regionals. Westminster placed all five men racers in the top-13, led by a second place finish for Lorentz Gedde-Dahl. On the women's side, Westminster's Kendall Brown won the event and the Griffins placed four in the top-10.
Gedde-Dahl put together a total time of 1:08.06 for his second place finish, less than two second behind Olle Friberg of Rocky Mountain College. Gabriel Lepine placed fifth with a time of 1:08.71. The other Griffins in the field of 70 were Zach Collins (9th), Sage Dunham (11th), and Ryan Donovan (13th).
Brown was the only racer to break 40 seconds all day when she went 38.83 in her first run. Her total time of 1:21.53 was over one second better than the second place finisher. Perrine Voisin Chappaz placed fourth for Westminster, followed by Melissa Gill in fifth. Kelsey Nilsen took 10th and Wiktoria Glowczynski placed 28th in the field of 60.
