Women's Lacrosse Wins Second Straight

BOISE, Idaho – The Westminster women’s lacrosse defeated Boise State 16-11 on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Griffins to 2-0 on the season, and matches the longest winning streak in school history.

Westminster got five goals from Lindsey Mark and four more from Kacie Beal. Yvonne Sumampong and Jill Tesfazion added two goals apiece. Jessie Mulvey recorded five saves between the pipes in earning her second career win. The Griffins controlled the face-off game 16-11.

Westminster is back in action on Friday, February 12 when they play the first of four games in two days at the Santa Barbara Shootout. They begin against Davenport at 3:30 p.m. in Santa Barbara, California.
