SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster men's and women's golf teams are headed to Missoula, Montana for the first Ever Frontier Conference golf championship on Monday, April 26 and Tuesday, April 27. The event will be played at the Larchmont Golf Course and feature four opening round matches and two semi-final matches on the first day. The championship match is a 36-hole final between the two remaining schools on Tuesday. Larchmont Golf course is a 7,093 yards par 72 course that was built in 1982.
The Westminster men are the fifth seed in the first round and face Montana Tech in an opening day match. As a team, Westminster is shooting 79.8 per round on average. The average team score per event is 319.3. They posted a team-best 296 during the third round of the season's second conference event.
Bryce Till leads the men into the championships with an average round of 78.3. His season-best tournament score is a 299 and he is coming off a 244 at the opening spring event.
Matt Hardy is shooting an average round of 78.8 and finished with a team-best 241 at the last event.
Skyler Bloxham and
Matthew Van Wagoner round out the field for the Griffins with average rounds of 89.5 and 88.7 respectively.
The Westminster women's team is the eighth seed at the championships and face top seeded Rocky Mountain in the opening round. The Griffins shoot an average of 412.7 as a team and posted a season best 1,187 at the second event of the season. The low round of 387 was during the second round of that same fall event.
Chloe McClintick is the top scoring Griffin at 84.2 per round. She is coming off a tie for second at the last conference event that saw her shoot a career-best 236.
Shonti Breisch carries a 100.4 average into the conference championship and shot 314 in the opening spring event.

Jacqueline Graham complete the team for the Griffins at the championships.
The 2010 NAIA Men's National Championship is May 18-21 in Silvis, Illinois at the TPC at Deere Run. The NAIA Women's National Championship takes place on May 25-28 in Rapid City, South Dakota at the Meadowbrook Municipal Golf Course. The winners of the Frontier Conference championship earn an automatic invite to the national championships.
Head Coach Chris Hendrickson
Chris Hendrickson takes over the Westminster golf program in 2009. Hendrickson also serves as the head ski coach at Westminster and has guided the program to two national championships on the women's side and two runner-up finishes on the men's side in two seasons. He takes over the golf program from JD Gustin.
