About Recruiting, Eligibility, Transferring & Westminster Athletics
If you are interested in participating in a particular sport, please complete the online questionnaire below for the sport you are interested in. This information will assist our coaches with the evaluation and recruitment process. If you are a student-athlete enrolled at another four-year institution or if you have been enrolled at another four-year institution in the last year (NAIA or NCAA Division I, II or III), NAIA rules prohibit us from having any communication with you, directly or indirectly, until we inform that institution you have made contact with our institution with the intent of possibly transferring.  Once we have informed your enrolled instituion than the communication process is allowed. 

The Westminster athletics program consists of 15 intercollegiate varsity and club sport teams and is a member of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Division I level. Men's and Women's Basketball, Cross Country and Track, Golf, Women's Volleyball and Women's Soccer compete in the Frontier Conference with schools from Montana and Idaho. Men's Soccer competes as an NAIA independent (no conference affiliation). Men's Lacrosse is a member of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and competes in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC). Women's Lacrosse competes in the Rocky Mountain Women’s Lacrosse League (RMWLL) which is part of U.S. Lacrosse and the Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates. Men's and Women's Skiing and Snowboarding compete in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) as a member of the Grand Teton Conference.

NAIA Eligibility:

In order to be eligible according to the NAIA, an incoming freshman must meet 2 out of 3 of the eligibility requirements listed below:

1- 860 SAT or 18 ACT
2- 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
3- In the top half of the student's graduating class

Incoming Junior College transfer student-athletes must have accumulated 48 credit hours to participate in a third season of a sport, and have attained a cumulative 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Student-athletes transferring from a 4 year institution must complete a 16 week residency before competition, or provide a signed release from their previous 4 year institution to Westminster Athletics in order to be immediately eligible to compete.
