The Westminster College women's golf team is in 20th place after the opening round of the 2012 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships. The event is being held at Link Hills Country Club which is a 6,044-yard par 73.

Westminster Student-Athletes Give Back to the Community
The Westminster College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that the 262 student-athletes at Westminster a combined to complete a total of 1,038 community and volunteer service hours during the 2011-12 academic year.  These hours resulted in a student-athlete participation rate of 55% or an average of 7.2 hour per student-athlete who completed service hours.

The Westminster College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that the 248 student-athletes at Westminster posted a cumulative grade point average of (GPA) of 3.26 during the spring semester.  That is up from the 3.23 during the 2011 fall and spring semesters.

The 2012 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships are scheduled to get underway Tuesday from Link Hills Country Club in Greenville, Tenn., at 7:30 a.m. EDT. The 18th annual event is a 72-hole stroke play tournament that will be played over the course of four days, concluding with the final round on Friday.
