Volleyball Plays at Home for Final Time This Season
The Westminster women’s volleyball team plays the final two matches of the 2009 regular season this Thursday and Saturday in the Behnken Field House. Westminster will face No. 19 Carroll College on November 5 at 7:00 p.m. and they takes on Rocky Mountain College on November 7 at 2:00 p.m.

The Westminster men’s basketball team opens the 2009-10 campaign with two home games at the Westminster Tournament this weekend. Westminster will face in-state foe Dixie State on Friday, November 6 at 7:30 p.m. Then on Saturday, November 7, the Griffins will play Warner Pacific at 8:00 p.m.

Behind the perfect shooting night of Michelle Pace, the Westminster women’s basketball team cruised to a 100-46 win over Bethany (Calif.) on Saturday evening. Westminster shot 53.6% from the floor and won a ninth consecutive road game dating back to last season.

The Westminster men’s basketball team received a No. 9 national ranking in the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Preseason Poll that was released on Monday. The Griffins received 232 total points in the poll.
