The Westminster men’s lacrosse team has two in-state foes on the schedule this week. They begin in Provo on Wednesday, March 10 against Brigham Young at 7 p.m. The game will be played at North University Field on the BYU campus.

The Westminster men’s basketball team won its second consecutive Frontier Conference Tournament championship thanks to a 76-68 win over No. 22 Montana Western (24-9) on Monday night in the Behnken Field House. No. 4 Westminster (26-5) picks up a 13th straight victory and claims an automatic invite to the 2010 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship.

Frontier Conference Commissioner Kent Paulson announced the 2009-2010 men's basketball all-conference team today. Westminster placed Weston Anderson, Blair Prowse, and Ben Walker on the first team. Griffins head coach Tommy Connor was named the Coach of the Year.

The Westminster women’s basketball team needed an extra five minutes for the first time this season to defeat Carroll College 89-85 in the semi-finals of the Frontier Conference Tournament on Saturday night. This is the third win this season over Carroll (17-14) for the ninth-ranked Griffins (26-5) and the ninth straight win overall.

The Westminster men’s alpine ski team finished second overall at the USCSA National Championships after winning the slalom national championship on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins tied Sierra Nevada College for the overall title but finish second on tiebreakers.

The Westminster women’s lacrosse team split two games on Dumke Field on Saturday morning. The Griffins defeated Air Force 10-7 to start the day. Wyoming took a 10-9 decision over the Griffins in the second game. Westminster is now 4-5 on the season and 1-2 in the Rocky Mountain Women’s Lacrosse League.

The Westminster men’s basketball team defeated the defending NAIA national champions Rocky Mountain College 80-68 on Friday night to advance to the Frontier Conference Tournament championship game. This is the 12th consecutive victory for the fourth-ranked Griffins and their 22nd win in the last 23 games.
