The Westminster women’s basketball team was selected to finish third in the upcoming 2009-10 basketball season according to a poll of Frontier Conference coaches. Westminster received 38.5 points in the poll, finishing behind Lewis-Clark State and Carroll College.

The Westminster women’s basketball team has signed three more student-athletes for the 2009-10 season head coach JD Gustin announced on Monday. Heather Anderson, Angela Fales, and Kristie Henriod have all signed an NAIA letter of intent to join the Griffins this season.

SALT LAKE CITY – The NAIA released the 2008-09 list of Scholar Teams on Monday, and Westminster had seven teams recognized for their classroom performance. Leading the way for the Griffins was the Men’s Cross Country squad with a combined team Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.75. That was the 10th-best GPA of any NAIA team and the top men’s cross country team.

Head coach JD Gustin is pleased to announce that Nicole Yazzie has signed a NAIA letter of intent to join the Westminster women’s basketball team in 2009. Yazzie, a 5-6 guard from West Valley City, Utah, prepped at Bingham High School where she was a four-year starter at point guard for the Miners.
