The Westminster women’s basketball team has signed Jenteal Jackson to a Frontier Conference letter of intent head coach JD Gustin announced today. Jackson will join the Griffins after spending two seasons at Brigham Young University. She will also play for the Westminster women’s golf team.

Frontier Conference Commissioner Kent Paulson released the 2009-2010 academic all-conference women's basketball team today. To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing, maintain a 3.0 GPA and participate in one half of their team's games.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the 2009-10 Division I Women’s Basketball All-America Teams on Tuesday. Westminster had three players receive All-American recognition. McKenzie Jessop was named a Third Team All-American while Keshia Catten and Nicole Yazzie were named Honorable Mention All-American.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 120 Division I women's basketball players have been named 2009-10 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Westminster placed five players on the list marking the third consecutive season with multiple selections.

Oklahoma Christian University moves in to the quarterfinals with a 62-52 win over the Westminster (Utah) College Griffins. The No. 7-seed Eagles are in the quarterfinals for only the third time in school history. OC previously advanced to the quarterfinals in 1986 and 2003.

After a 67-55 opening round win against Lambuth, the Westminster women’s basketball team will face Oklahoma Christian in the second round of the 2010 NAIA Division I National Championship on Friday evening. The third-seeded Griffins will face the seventh-seeded Eagles for just the second time in school history when they tipoff at 3:30 p.m. MDT on Friday.
