The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that a total of 387 women's soccer student-athletes have been named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes. The Westminster women’s soccer team placed three players on the list. Maddie Maldonado, Elaina Pappas, and Danielle Rankin were all recognized for the performance in the classroom during the 2009 season.

Frontier Conference commissioner Kent Paulson announced the 2009 all-conference women's soccer team, as well as individual award winners today. Westminster placed Dayna Winter-Nolte on the team at goal keeper and Corie Walch at midfielder. This is the first all-conference recognition for each player.

The Westminster women’s soccer team begins postseason play this weekend as they travel to Helena, Montana for the Frontier Conference/DAC Women’s Soccer Tournament. Westminster earned the No. 2 seed for the tournament based on Longo and TPI ratings.
