SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's lacrosse team travels to Santa Barbara, California to play four games in two days at the Santa Barbara Shootout Sponsored by Brine this weekend. They open the event against Davenport on Friday, February 12 at 3:30 p.m.

The schedule heats up with three games on Saturday, February 13 starting at 8:30 a.m. against the College of Saint Benedict. Westminster will also face UC-San Diego at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and complete the day against Chapman at 8:30 p.m.

Westminster takes a perfect 2-0 record with them to the event after sweeping two games at Boise State last weekend. The Griffins opened the season with a 16-9 win over the Broncos last Friday. The sweep was completed with a 16-11 win on Saturday afternoon.

Kaciee Beal led the Griffins with 10 goals during the two games. Sage West added five goals and three assists on Friday while Lindsey Mark had five goals on Saturday. Westminster won the draw 32-21 in the two games.
