SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College athletic department is pleased to announce that the 246 student-athletes posted a combined Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.195 during the fall semester. There were 18 student-athletes that posted a perfect 4.0 GPA with 60 recording a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
“I applaud the efforts of our student-athletes and their academic accomplishments this past fall semester,” Westminster Director of Athletics
Shay Wyatt said. “We are very proud of our student-athletes and how they manage their academic priorities and continue to maintain the academic standards set forth by our institution.”
During the fall sports season, Westminster teams had 18 student-athletes recognized as Daktronics/NAIA Scholar Athletes. Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify as a scholar athlete.
