Women’s Basketball Sign Three More

Michelle Pace has three new teammates for the upcoming season.
SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's basketball team has signed three more student-athletes for the 2009-10 season head coach JD Gustin announced on Monday. Heather Anderson, Angela Fales, and Kristie Henriod have all signed an NAIA letter of intent to join the Griffins this season.

Anderson, a 5-10 guard from Bountiful, Utah, prepped at Woods Cross High School and then played at Otero Junior College. She shot 39.1 percent from three-point range while at Otero and was named Academic All-Region her sophomore season.

Fales, a 6-1 forward from Boise, Idaho, played at Capital High School and then at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Washington. She was a two-year starter at Big Bend and averaged 10.1 points per game. Fales also shot 38 percent from beyond the arc during her two years there.

Henriod, a 5-7 guard from West Valley City, Utah, played her prep ball at Cyprus High School. She was named First Team All-State after averaging 21.8 points per game to lead everyone in the state of Utah. She also connected on 1.33 attempts from beyond the arc per contest.

Westminster begins the 2009-10 season on October 30 in Rocklin, California against Willam Jessup. The Griffins are coming off the most successful season in school history with a 27-7 record and a Frontier Conference championship.
