Women’s Lacrosse to Host RMWLL Tournament This Weekend

SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's lacrosse team will play at home for the first time of the season when they host Colorado State in the first game of the Rocky Mountain Women's Lacrosse League Tournament on Friday, March 5 at Dumke Field. The RMWLL opener for the Griffins is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Dumke Field will host six RMWLL games on Saturday, March 6, beginning at 8 a.m. with Westminster facing Air Force. That game is followed with Colorado State facing Brigham Young at 9:45 a.m. Westminster is back in action at 11:30 a.m. when they face Wyoming. They day finishes with Colorado State against Air Force at 1:15 p.m., Brigham Young against Wyoming at 3 p.m., and Air Force versus Brigham Young at 4:45 p.m.

Westminster is 3-3 entering the week, but hasn't played since February 13. The Griffins opened the year with three straight victories before dropping the last three games at the Santa Barbara Shootout. The last game was a 4-3 lost against Chapman in the fourth game in two days at the tournament.

Kaicee Beal leads Westminster with 26 goals through the first six games. Beal has cored multiple goals in five straight games and also has five assists. Sage West has scored nine goals and contributed eight assists. Jessie Mulvey is coming off a career high 10 saves and made 29 saves during the Santa Barbara Tournament.
