FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Westminster men's lacrosse team got back on track with a 21-7 defeat of Northern Arizona on Sunday afternoon. The win jumps the Griffins to 10-6 on the season and snaps a three-game losing streak. They also clinch a share of the RMLC West Division title and an opening round bye in the upcoming RMLC Playoffs.
Josh Condas led the Westminster attack scoring five goals and contributing three assists.
Kellen Lynn added three goals while
Brett Bird,
Andrew Gordon, and
Gian Sexsmith added two goals apiece.
Dallas McLellan posted eight saves and
Jake Boudreau added six saves between the pipes.
Westminster will now open the RMLC Playoffs on Friday, April 30 at 1 p.m. against the winner of the Montana State and Northern Arizona game. The championship game is on Saturday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m. with all game being played on the BYU North Fields in Provo, Utah.
