WHITEFISH, Mont. –
Damir Sabanovic and
Dennis Sellis, both of Westminster College were named Frontier Conference men's soccer players of the week.
Sabanovic, a 6-foot-3 sophomore goalie from Salt Lake City, Utah, was named defensive player of the week. Westminster picked up two wins for the week, beating Northwestern College of Iowa 1-0 and Olivet Nazarene 2-1. Sabanovic recorded two saves for the week and earned a shutout in his appearance against Northwestern.
Also nominated: Jesus Mendes of the University of Great Falls and Alan Vezza of Rocky Mountain College.
Sellis, a 6-foot junior forward from Salt Lake City, Utah, was named offensive player of the week. Sellis scored three goals including the game winning goal in both games. He scored both goals in the game against Olivet Nazarene.
Also nominated: Oliver Gore of Rocky Mountain College and Ryan O'Neil of the University of Great Falls.
