SALT LAKE CITY – Three members of the Westminster College women's volleyball team were honored by the Frontier Conference over the weekend at the conference tournament.

Kyndall Kordakis and
Alexis Aalona were each recognized by the conference coaches for their performance during the season.
Marchant, a junior outside hitter from Sandy, Utah, was named first team All-Frontier Conference. This is the first all-conference recognition for Marchant and she becomes the sixth Griffin all-time to make the first team. She ranks fifth in the conference in kills per set at 2.8 while hitting .187. She is also ranked in the Frontier top-20 in both service aces and digs.
Kordakis, a sophomore libero from Placerville, Calif., was named the Libero of the Year along with being named second team all-conference. She becomes the third player from Westminster to receive the Libero of the year honor and the first since Tahnie Blymiller in 2009. She is also the fourth Griffin all-time to be named second team all-Frontier. Kordakis ranks second in the league in digs at 4.4 per set and her 411 total digs rank fourth. She set a new career high this season in digs and ranks fifth in school history in career digs after just two seasons.
Aalona, a freshman outside hitter from Salt Lake City, was named co-Freshman of the Year and also was named to the Frontier Conference All-Freshman team. She shared the top freshman honor with Kathleen Mulligan of Carroll College. Aalona becomes the third Griffin to take home top freshman honors and the first since Leigha Dangerfield in 2007. She also becomes the sixth player from Westminster to make the all-freshman team.
Lewis-Clark State College landed the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year and had five players on the all-conference team including three first team selections, one second team and one on the all-freshman team. Rocky Mountain College had six all-conference selections including three first team, two second team and one on the all-freshman team.
Lauryn Herrick was named Player of the Year and first year Lewis-Clark State head coach LaToya Harris named Coach of the Year.
