WHITEFISH, Mont. –
Collin Wilkinson of the Westminster men's golf team was named Second Team All-Frontier Conference commissioner Kent Paulson announced today.
Wilkinson, a freshman from South Jordan, Utah, becomes the first Griffin to be named all-conference. He finished 10th in the Frontier regular season standings with 533 strokes. In the three Frontier events, Wilkinson had one top-five and two top-10 finishes. For the season he averages 78.9 strokes per round with three top-10 results.
Connor McCracken of Lewis-Clark State and Connor Rakowski of Rocky Mountain College were named Co-Players of the Year. Drew Reinland of Lewis-Clark State was named the Freshman of the Year and Lewis-Clark's Paul Thompson was named Coach of the Year.
The all-conference team is determined by the results of the league's tournaments; the top five golfers receive first team honors, the second five receive second team honors.
In this year's standings, there was a tie between the fifth and sixth place golfer resulting in six golfers named to first team and four to second.
Conference champion Lewis-Clark led the all-conference team with three first team selections followed by Carroll College with two.
