Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – The third-ranked Westminster College men's lacrosse team opened the season ending road trip with a 15-8 win over Fort Lewis on Friday night.

The Griffins are now 12-2 on the season and 2-0 in RMLC games. They have clinched at least a share of the division title for a sixth straight season. Fort Lewis dropped to 8-3 and 2-1 with the loss.

Matt Hearn led the Griffin attack with five goals. Collin Madsen added three goals and one assists while Gian Sexsmith went for two goals and three assists. Marshall Serzen won 20-of-25 faceoffs and Chris Burckle made 14 saves to earn the win.

“This was a good effort, but we still need some work on playing defense with our feet and hands before our stick,” head coach Mason Goodhand commented. “As expected the Skyhawks have some solid players and they played with a lot of energy all four quarters.”

Westminster's game against Colorado Mines on Saturday has been canceled due to weather. The Griffins will complete the trip on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with a game against Western State.
