MISSOULA, Mont. – The 17th-ranked Westminster College women's golf team was defeated in the championship match of the Frontier Conference Championship, 630-645, by Rocky Mountain College. The Westminster men were defeated 286-291 by Lewis-Clark State College in the 3rd-Place Match.

The Griffin women only had two scores in the 70s during the 36-hole final match. Brandi Bork posted both of those rounds by going 77-78 for a final score of 155. Mikayla Williamson shot a 162 total by going 80-82. Jenteal Jackson, Mari Hutsi and Candace Dechant each finished with 166 total strokes.

The men fell just five strokes short of placing third in a tough loss to top-seeded LCSC. Robert McKee led the Griffins by shooting a 69 in the match. Dane Jensen posted 73 strokes in the round while Tanner Kopan shot 74. Matt Bushman and Brian Panter rounded out the team for Westminster by shooting 75 and 78 respectively.

The women will now wait to see if their body of work during the season will earn them an at-large invite to next month's NAIA National Championships. The Griffins won the conference regular season title for the second straight year and entered this meet at No. 17 in the latest top 25 poll. Jensen could also receive an at-large invite to the men's national event by virtue of winning the regular season individualist medal.
